Austin World Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Traffic Violence

On an average day in Texas, twelve people will die in traffic crashes and more than 50 will suffer life-altering injuries, such as brain damage or loss of a limb.

We gather every year for the World Day of Remembrance to honor and remember those who have died in traffic crashes and demand solutions from Texas governments that will reduce the amount of people being hurt in traffic crashes until we get to zero deaths.

Please join us Sunday November 19th, 4:30 – 6pm at Wooldridge Square Park in Downtown Austin for a vigil, remembrances, and speeches.

You can register that you are attending or interested, or invite your friends and family with this Facebook event.

If you are interested in being more involved or sharing your story, please contact jay@farmandcity.org or 713-244-4746.

The Austin World Day of remembrance for the Victims of Traffic Violence is co-hosted by Farm&City, Central Texas Families for Safe Streets, and Safe Streets Austin.
