Policy Hacking April Fools’ Edition: Allocation Games

How Texas MPOs and TxDOT predictions of our future growth and travel behavior dictate our future options and how to fix our regional growth forecast and travel demand modeling systems to spend public funds better and get better outcomes for all

Policy Hacking with Farm&City is a monthly in-person and virtual gathering designed to engage and support citizen advocacy on public policy issues around transportation, urban planning, sustainability, and equity. We believe that a relatively small number of people from diverse backgrounds and across sectors can change the metro region for the better through an ongoing open discussion of important issues.

Held the 1st Tuesday of every month, Policy Hacking with Farm&City is free and open to the public.

Agenda:
6:00pm join us early for pizza, drinks, and to start the conversations
6:30-7:30pm Presentation, discussion, and brainstorming

Thank you to Capital Factory for sponsoring Policy Hacking with Farm&City. Capital Factory is the center of gravity for entrepreneurs in Texas. They meet the best entrepreneurs in Texas and introduce them to their first investors, employees, mentors and customers. To sign up for a Capital Factory membership, click here.

We’ll have pizza and drinks available at 6pm. Register at meetup to attend in person.

This event will be broadcast as a zoom webinar from 6:30-7:30pm. Register here for the zoom

If you wanna dig in and prep for jumping into the discussion, check out our old Allocation Game report

We’ve scheduled this event this month to help people in the Austin region comment on the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization’s proposed 2050 Regional Transportation Plan. Learn more about that draft plan here. And you can email in your comments to campo2050rtp@gmail.com before the next Transportation Policy Board meeting on April 14th.
